what would we do without photography?

Once or twice a year I go on vacation. For me it’s normally in Oct/Nov. or February when it’s getting cold or already cold.

This time it was on Halloween. The weather was not to bad but chilly.  In Punta Cana it was great each and everyday. Now here I am back home in Ohio and the air is chilly again.

The question for me is:  Why  is it that when you come back from a great place like that and it’s cold you tend to forget how beautiful it was? The only way for you to retain that memory is if you have proof that you were there.

Without photography the memory would be lost and the feeling as well. If  I had the time I would go back, but the downside of that is, there is 3 hours of travel time between Atlanta and Dominican.

Speaking of which… you know that when I got back to the states that the people on the road was driving like fools. Either they were all drunk, or I was just tripping.  I was blowing the horn all damn day.

I was safer in the sky!!

Anyway,  without my handy-dandy camera’s  there would be no memories or proof

that I was ever there.

that’s why I love photography.

Majestic Elegance Club (adult)

I just recently returned home from Dominican Republic, Punta Cana on the 8th.  I stayed at the Majestic Elegance Hotel.

At first I didn’t want to go to Dominica, but was talked into going. I am very glad that I did. It was a very beautiful place. As a matter of fact one of the best properties that I have ever set my feet on.

The staff was well dressed and friendly. Well most of them were. some of the females had bad attitudes but once you correct them they were a little better.

The rooms were huge with king sized canopy beds. We had butler service, room service, jacuzzi’s inside and outside of the room. This place was just lovely.

The first day in Dominica we spent looking around the grounds so that we could become familiar with everything and set up excursions to go on.

I chose the extreme buggies and the Catamaran ride over to the Caribbean that would take us 1 hour to get there by speed boat.

The second day I had the first choice of where we were to eat so I decided on the japanese steak house called ” The 4 Doors”.

The service there was great and the food was superb.

The third day was golf day. I hit a bucket of balls on the driving range and then decided to find someone with a cart to take me back to the hotel so that I could soak up the sun on the beach. For me the beach and the work out gym was the first thing I did each morning.

On the fourth day we actually went over to the Caribbean that took 1 hour to get there. As you know Dominican Republic is in the Atlantic ocean and the island that we traveled to is where the two oceans meet.

The 5th day was extreme buggy day.

This was a real fun time. We traveled about 60 miles for this excursion. Driving on the regular pavement to driving through mud as you can see, dirt roads and through a village.

We also stopped

at a natural underground cave with very clear “untouched” water.

The sixth day was totally party time.

Day 7  great as well as day 8. By the time that we were ready to come back to the United States I had made a lot of friends from all over the world.  I even received a gift from the funjestic team. It was so touching.

This resort was so full of energy and the best thing about it was……

It was ADULT ONLY!!!!

I loved it!!

Today was a marvelous day for me.

It was very relaxing and comfortable.

I mostly feel good because I booked my Punta Cana trip today for a little r & r in october.

This is why I am sporting the island look because I can’t wait.

I really don’t have much to talk about because I am trying to spend all the time that I can out doors instead of in the house blogging before the weather changes again. You know how Ohio is.

The fact that we have all four seasons, you have to take advantage of the summer months because before you know it, it’s cold again.

Well, I don’t want to bore you. Let me go back onto the deck and continue to enjoy the rest of my day.

AAA great  vacations expo…the great escape!! was here in Columbus this weekend.

I had a wonderful time. They had great vacation packages.

AAA was giving out huge discounts. They were giving you the chance to win lots of trips. all you had to do is register to win.

~Travel impressions, paradise pavilion exhibit B they had a tiki bar. This pertained to nothing but the Caribbean and Mexico.

~Hoosier park racing and casino, had a actual casino in booth F and a chance to win a trip their casino

~West Virginia had the most exhibits there. they were trying to sell that outdoors woodsy adventure.

white water rafting, canoeing, golfing and four wheeling.

“That’s what I’m talking about!!”

Let’s see what elseeee.

Samantha Brown from the travel channel was there.

They also had seminars for first timers giving advice on traveling. the do’s and don’ts.

I was so close to booking my vacation until I went there and saw some others places that I might want to travel to.

Of course….still in the Caribbean. I’m not done with the Caribbean yet 🙂

Overall, it was a wonderful Sunday. I really enjoyed myself.

Calgon….take me away !!

I just want to pack my bags, and fly far,far away. To a place where everyone is happy

and no one has a care in the world

because they left all their cares behind.

I just want to wake up and watch the sunrise while sipping on a cold glass of orange juice.

I then want to walk along the beach in my bare feet so that the white sands can cling to my toes.
A place that no matter where you walk people greet you with a smile or a hello.

Right at this very moment, it would be a good time for “Calgon to take me away”!!

If I could run away for a week without causing any problems I would do so fast and in a hurry.

I need to get away from the stress that I am recently endoring. It’s beginning to tear me appart.

I just  recently returned from Aruba in October. I need to get away again.

This photo is where I want to go and where I want to be.

This is Jamaica!!
